Building a Quotation

A quotation is a proposed price you send to a customer before the sale. This guide walks through the quotation workspace from build to invoice.

Open the workspace

  • Go to the Sales module and open the quotation workspace.
  • Click New quotation and pick the customer, or create one inline.

Add products

  • Add existing products from the shared Product table.
  • Need a new product? Create it inline without leaving the quote.
  • Set quantities, unit prices, and any discounts.

Send and sign

  • Click Send to deliver the quote to the customer.
  • The customer can review and sign, turning the quote into a confirmed order.

Convert to invoice

Once a quotation is accepted, convert it to an invoice in one click. The line items, tax, and totals carry over.

Quotation lifecycle

  • Draft: editing in progress.
  • Sent: awaiting customer response.
  • Signed: accepted, ready to invoice.

Tips

  • Use the shared address autocomplete for accurate customer addresses.
  • Keep product names consistent so quotes read cleanly.
