Building a Quotation
A quotation is a proposed price you send to a customer before the sale. This guide walks through the quotation workspace from build to invoice.
Open the workspace
- Go to the Sales module and open the quotation workspace.
- Click New quotation and pick the customer, or create one inline.
Add products
- Add existing products from the shared Product table.
- Need a new product? Create it inline without leaving the quote.
- Set quantities, unit prices, and any discounts.
Send and sign
- Click Send to deliver the quote to the customer.
- The customer can review and sign, turning the quote into a confirmed order.
Convert to invoice
Once a quotation is accepted, convert it to an invoice in one click. The line items, tax, and totals carry over.
Quotation lifecycle
- Draft: editing in progress.
- Sent: awaiting customer response.
- Signed: accepted, ready to invoice.
Tips
- Use the shared address autocomplete for accurate customer addresses.
- Keep product names consistent so quotes read cleanly.
